Our Story

Back in 1951, Beronda Blvd. was a dirt road connecting farmland to the city. Travis Harmon, a tractor supply salesman, decided to go into the restaurant business. He turned an old barn into a burger stand to serve farmers making the hour long trip from their fields to the city market. It soon became a town favorite, attracting even some of the city slickers to come eat.

A fire in 1972 destroyed the original barn, but that did not stop Travis Harmon. In less than a year, Burger Barn was built bigger and better - with room for a pool table!

Travis Harmon left us for the great grill-off in the sky on April 28th, 1992. This is why we throw our famous Burger Picnic on this day every year. His love of great foods and good people lives on to this day. Burger Barn continues to be a favorite among families, farmers, couples, and yes even city slickers.
